The Weight Loss Surgery Foundation of America (WLSFA.ORG) invites you to join us in Portland Oregon! Your participation at this annual fundraiser allows the WLSFA to make a difference in the lives of people with no access to the medical treament they need to overcome the disease of obesity. Dollars raised at this event fund grants and saves lives! We anticipate the largest gathering of weight loss surgery patients ever assembled. Together we can look forward to an event that will be life changing for attendees and those that benefit from the gathering our grant recipients!

    The WLSFA is proud to present our Seventh Annual National Fundraiser. This three day event is Educationals, Motivational and Unforgettable! Meet & Greet with your fellow WLS peeps from across the nation. Raise money to fund grants and help the WLSFA continue to save lives one grant at a time in 2017!

    FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS:

    1. What should I wear?  Typically attendees go casual. Most will dress in costumes on Friday and Saturday night.
    2. Will there be food, is it WLS Freindly?  Anything that is served is WLS friendly.  Meals provided:  Friday night H'orduerves, Saturday lunch, Saturday night plated dinner, Sunday morning light breakfast (Quiche Goodbye).
    3. Will there be alcohol sold or served?  There will not be alcohol available in any of our event space.  The hotel has facilities that are available to attendees.
    4. Can I share my hotel room?  Yes. You can share hotel rooms.  If you need a roommate post on the event page. 
    5. Are there lower priced tickets for people not attending the entire event?  We only offer one registration that covers everything except for the 5/10K Walk/Run, the Bike Ride, and any special fundraiser event that we might schedule.
    6. How can I speak at the event?  Requests to speak need to be sent to info@wlsfa before November 1st.
    7. I have not had weight loss surgery am I welcome?  Yes. Everyone is welcome.
    8. I have not lost all my weight or regained should I go?  Yes. This event is DEFINITELY for YOU!  Look over the schedule and you will see many sessions that are for others just like you.
    9. I am traveling alone is that a problem?  Not at all.  We have a special session on Friday morning for newcomers to WLSFA events as well as those who are coming alone.
    10. This is my first event, how will I meet people? We are a VERY friednly group.  Plan to come early enough to attend our newcomers session on Friday morning. Also, consider volunteering where you will be able to meet many people.
    11. What if my friend, spouse, or family member wants to come, are they welcome? Yes!  We welcome support people with open arms.  We have a session that is for support people ONLY.  There are many support people at our events..
    12. Are there refunds?  NO refunds, however, you can transfer it to someone else by contacting info@wlsfa.org and letting us know the name and contact info of the person that you are transferring the registration to.
